Maya Radoccia-Kennen, BSW, IBCLC
International Board Certified Lactation Consultant
With over 15 years of experience, I have dedicated my career to supporting families on their breastfeeding and infant feeding journeys. My passion for lactation consulting began in my early work as a social worker and Breastfeeding Peer Counselor for at-risk families in rural Arizona. Seeing parents struggle due to a lack of professional support inspired me to specialize in lactation consulting, ensuring families receive the skilled guidance and resources they deserve.

In 2010, I became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and began my career at Flagstaff Medical Center while simultaneously launching a private practice. I later served as the IBCLC for the Flagstaff Birth and Women’s Center for four years. Today, I continue to run my private practice while also operating High Country Lactation Care, northern Arizona’s only nonprofit lactation center. It has been my privilege to assist thousands of families in achieving their breastfeeding goals, offering evidence-based, compassionate care tailored to each unique situation.
As a mother of three, I understand firsthand both the joys and challenges of breastfeeding. From sleepless nights and postpartum recovery to breastfeeding a NICU baby and navigating mastitis, and working and pumping, I have lived through many of the same struggles my clients face. These experiences fuel my passion for helping parents feel confident and supported throughout their lactation journey.
I believe that breast/chest feeding is the biological norm, and that parents and babies are capable of amazing things when given the right support. My mission is to help families reach their feeding goals through professional, compassionate, and judgment-free guidance.
